Moorhouse and Brook is one of the oldest mills in all of England. They produce some of the finest quality fabrics in the world. Both our New England Walking coat and our Shelburne Duffel are made from 100% pure new wool. The construction of this fabric is known as Elysian and it involves a highly technical process of interlacing wool threads into a unique structure. This is followed by the delicate act of hand cutting the long threads, know as floats, to create a luxurious Elysian finish. At Evarts & Jordan, we wanted the construction of the wool to form a Herringbone appearance and believe that by doing so, we achieved a magnificent look for these two outstanding garments.
